Product Description
Epichlorohydrin, a kind of organochlorine compounds. Colorless oily liquid. A pungent odor similar to chloroform. There are volatile and narcotic. Soluble in ethanol, acetone and other organic solvents. Does not dissolve in water. Chemical properties and lively. By propylene and chlorine high-temperature chlorination of allyl chloride, then through hypochlorous acid, made by saponification. Mainly used for the preparation of glycerin, epoxy resin, chlorohydrin rubber, polyether polyols. Is the important raw material for production of glycerol derivatives, glycidyl derivatives. Also used for cellulose ester, resin, and cellulose ether solvents.
